Rosewood introduced #RosewoodRaise, a relief initiative to assist our associates and local communities who have been deeply affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative quickly took off and evolved as our associates worldwide stepped up and went beyond to contribute, supplying necessities and meals to frontline workers (#RosewoodontheMove), leading local fundraising and donation efforts, enriching the lives of more than 20% of its associate population. The initiative saw associate engagement levels reaching new heights throughout, with our associates bonded together by a shared purpose.
The pandemic has prompted Rosewood to rethink the experience it provides to associates. Earlier this year, the Group launched #DiscoverYourCalling, a global culture and employer brand programme redefining the experience working with Rosewood Hotel Group. They have embedded their purpose, culture and values in moments that matter, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development and rewards. In addition, the Group established #RosewoodAcademy, providing structured learning and development opportunities for associates at all levels from trainees to Managing Directors. It has also revamped its global Management Trainee (MT) programme to cultivate the next generation of leaders in luxury and hospitality, recruiting 50 MTs in the midst of COVID-19 and launching a global recruitment marketing campaign that garnered 350,000+ video views and acquired 100,000+ LinkedIn followers. Of the 10,000+ job applications Rosewood received, the first MT cohort is 67% female, aligned with its firmwide initiative to have at least 50% female representation in all development programmes.
