Kerry Rooks is the Chief Human Resources Officer for Prudential Hong Kong. First appointed to this role in 2008, she is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including talent management, learning & development, resourcing, compensation and benefits and employee relations. Kerry draws on her significant international human resources experience in the insurance industry spanning Japan, New York, Hong Kong and the wider Asia region. She previously held the roles of Chief of Staff and HR Manager in Prudential’s Japan operations.
Relocating to New York, Kerry joined AIG as a member of their Global Corporate Training and Organizational Development Team. A few of her many achievements include the development and delivery of a global change management programme in the USA and Asia, development of competency models for key business functions in addition to focused development programmes to build management bench strength and future distribution leaders. Her last role with AIG was in Hong Kong, where she was leading the talent management and executive development for the general insurance business in Asia. Prior to re-joining Prudential, Kerry was Asia Regional Head of HR for New York Life International.
