WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) has announced a new collaboration with Diligent Corporation to work on a range of issues to improve corporate governance. Diligent, which is known for its Board Portal software, will use its technical expertise to conduct surveys amongst its 100,000 users to shed light on how directors think about issues such as board diversity and the gender gap among leading executives.
It has also pledged to provide consultation, research, and other content for the WCD ‘Institutes’—a series of conventions in which top executives and policy experts gather to discuss solutions to problems, including those related to technological transformation and cyber security. Further to this, the two organisations have agreed to use this information to develop thought leadership programmes and initiatives.
Speaking about the new partnership, Susan Stautberg, CEO, global co-chair and co-founder, WCD commented, “Diligent brings unparalleled expertise in many of the hot-button issues that directors care about today.”
She added, “Boards need an intuitive platform that not only facilitates global collaboration and decision-making but also supports corporate compliance and security concerns—something that Diligent understands and makes possible.”
