Careers as a UI designer, a lumberjack or a sports team manager may prove to be rewarding professions but according to social media giant, LinkedIn, they may be the most challenging jobs to discuss with parents in Hong Kong.
It follows the success of the firm’s Bring in Your Parents Day in November which saw employees worldwide invite their parents into work to help them better understand the work that they do. Findings last year suggested that 50% of Hong Kong workers believe that their parents are not knowledgeable about their day-to-day role at the office.
Amongst the jobs that caused most confusion—with the percentage of parents who were not confident about correctly describing—were:
