Founder of Community Business, Shalini Mahtani, recently received an MBE—Member of the Order of the British Empire—for her outstanding contribution to Corporate Social Responsibility in Hong Kong. She received her medal from His Royal Highness, Prince Charles, at Buckingham Palace on 28 June.
Commenting on her achievement, Mahtani said, “I am honoured to accept this award for my contribution to CSR in Hong Kong. I will continue to serve my home, Hong Kong, and will focus my attention on making Hong Kong a more fair and equitable society.”
Mahtani has written numerous publications on the subjects of diversity and inclusion, work/life balance and corporate community investment in addition to the work she has done with Community Business to further the cause of equality in Hong Kong.
