Outstanding Trainers Recognised
The Presentation Ceremony of the HKMA Award for Excellence in Training and Development 2010 was held on 18 October 2010. Winners of Campaign and Individual Awards were presented with trophies and certificates by The Hon Ms Eva Cheng JP, Secretary for Transport and Housing, Transport and Housing Bureau, Government of the HKSAR. The Hon Ms Eva Cheng delivered a speech on how creativity, innovation together with good management on improving quality of life in Hong Kong to over 500 guests who turned out to discover who had won the coveted Trainer of the Year Award.
Since 1985, the Association has introduced a theme year concept to its work in order to bring greater focus to various management activities. For 2010, the Theme Year Working Party adopted, Innovation and Creativity – Winning in a Changing World” as its theme. During the Dinner, Dr The Hon David K P Li GBM GBS JP, Chairman of the Association also gave more details on this topic explaining that this year’s theme will focus on management innovation and the development of cultural and creative industries in Hong Kong.

About the Award for Excellence in Training and Development

Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture
Organised by the Association's Theme Year Working Party since 1985, the Susan Yuen Memorial Lecture is one of the highlights of the Association's whole year activities aiming to recognize the contribution of the late Mrs Susan Yuen to Hong Kong's business community. This special event will raise funds for the Susan Yuen Fellowship and Research Foundation to provide scholarships for in-service executives to attend short and practical courses.
