The Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme Authority (MPFA) will table legislation on the Default Investment Strategy (DIS) following the release of public consultation on ‘Core Fund’ in March. DIS aims to regulate the existing default investment arrangements by mandating each trustee to provide highly standardised and low-fee default investment funds. The MPF amendment bill on DIS was introduced for second reading at the Legislative Council on 25 November with expected implementation by the end of 2016.
With this in mind, Gain Miles will be running a seminar on ‘MPF Legislation on Core Fund: Employers’ Roles and Challenges’ to be held on 13 January 2016 from 9:30am till 12:00 noon at 1804, 18/F, Tower 1, Admiralty Centre, 18 Harcourt Road, Hong Kong. It is a free event with Michael Chan, Managing Director, Gain Miles Financial Planning Consultants and Gloria Siu, Chief Executive, Gain Miles giving talks on the topic.
