The latest figures from the jobsDB Q1 2013 Hiring Index suggest that 82% of employers are willing to increase a staff member’s salary to help retain them, after they resign. Other retention measures taken by employers include providing training/career development opportunities (44%) and providing better work arrangements (40%). Mr Justin Yiu, General Manager, jobsDB, Hong Kong, commented, “When good employees resign, employers will try to retain them…This implies that salary is one of the top concerns for employees.”
