Employees are now being provided with access to the latest leadership and management lessons from the world’s top executives and business schools via Morgan McKinley’s Deloitte Leadership Academy. The organisation is arming its future leaders with a flexible suite of management training and development tools. The flexibility of the Leadership Academy enables employees to design their own tailored programme which they can dip into via applications using a smartphone or in the office via their desktop PC.
Employees can attend a virtual lecture at Stanford, watch a vodcast of Cisco CEO, John Chambers or download an interview with Australia Stock Exchange Chairman, David Gonski, when and where it suits them.
Tom Richardson, Managing Partner, Deloitte Leadership Academy said, “Understanding how to manage, engage and inspire multi-generational teams requires more than just excellent technical skills. Leaders today and those of the future can no longer rely on classroom training to develop the core competencies of great leaders, by leveraging technology the Leadership Academy allows them to learn at their own pace and in their own way.”
Since its Australian launch in December 2007, the online version of the Deloitte Leadership Academy has been accessed by more than 4,000 executives in 14 countries including the UK, South Africa, Malaysia and Hong Kong. More recently materials were also made available via a Blackberry application.
