It seems that man’s best friend has becomes man’s best co-worker, as international law firm Eversheds Sutherland welcomed dogs at work in its London office as part of ‘Bring Your Dog to Work Day’.
Employees were invited to bring their four-legged friends to the special event, which was the brainchild of Lee Ranson, Co-CEO, Eversheds Sutherland—who brought his dog, Poppy, along to take part.
The day was run by the award-winning Canine Creche Group and its team of professional canine carers. Poppy and the other pampered pooches enjoyed play areas, ball pits and a sleeping area along with some planned canine games including a Treasure Hunt and Jumpin’ Jack Flash. Each dog was also given their very own ‘Pawspawt’ and a doggy bag of treats to take home.
In a survey conducted by Purina PetCare earlier this year, more than a quarter of employers said they would like to put a dog-friendly policy in place, while 27% already have one in operation. More than 40% of employers also said they found that being dog-friendly calms and de-stresses the office.
Ranson commented, “This was a great opportunity for colleagues to bring their four-legged friends in to the office. I had a great time hosting our canine companions and am thankful that Poppy behaved herself!”
