Global energy recruitment specialists Spencer Ogden recently launched their new office in Hong Kong, providing staff and guests alike with a stimulating, open space—in stark contrast to the drab, uninspiring appearance of many traditional offices. The main workspace features large, round tables standing atop a carpet of astro-turf, alongside a 1950s American-diner-style kitchen and wall- length windows, which provide a captivating view of Central Hong Kong. The office marks the continued expansion of Spencer Ogden into Asia, building on the successful launch of their first Asian office in Singapore earlier this year, designed in a similarly flamboyant fashion.
Design director Bonita Spencer- Percival explained that the main inspiration was to provide an environment in which employees felt ‘energised and motivated to work’, and that the best way to do this was to release them from the shackles of the traditional working environment and to give them something truly special.
