With technology playing a key role in determining business growth and success in India today, there are a growing number of Indian organisations utilising, Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology enabled Services (ITeS). This has resulted in a dramatic increase in IT spending across all sectors. With strong growth of IT in APAC, India is the fastest growing country in the region for IT spending and is expected to be a very strong market in the future.

According to a recent report released by FIT India, applications in the field of Enterprise Resource Management (ERM) have the highest priority across verticals and India continues to be the fastest growing nation in the South-Asia region, in terms of domestic spending on IT. Even in India, renowned for its relatively cheap labour costs, the global slowdown has forced organisations to focus on better utilising resources and enhancing cost management strategies. IT spending in India has been increasing at over 20% per annum since 2006, and is expected to continue to grow into 2012 at just under 15% per annum.
