The Great Resignation shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. New survey results from anonymous professional networking site, Blind, have revealed that as much as four-fifths of professionals will be on the lookout for new career opportunities in the next three months. Employees at financial service and large technology companies were among the most likely to say that they wanted out of their current roles.
The survey polled professionals on the actions they had taken to further their careers and uncovered that 57% of respondents had applied for a job in the past month. Furthermore, around three in four workers had had a conversation with a recruiter within the last month. More worrying, however, was that half of all professionals said that they had interviewed with another company within the last month.
Professionals were also united in the answer that awarding increases to their compensation was the number one thing that employers could do to retain their staff. Respondents indicated that they would like to receive everything from stock-based compensation to increases to their base salary. Companies may also want to consider offering fully remote work options in order to retain their talent as many professionals cited fully remote work as a top priority. Other incentives that might cause employees to reconsider departing included opportunities for promotion, growth opportunities and work-life balance.
