Banque de France has halved its hiring time with an e-recruitment solution that also provides easier access for applicants with special needs.
Banque de France, the French national central bank, receives approximately 15,000 applications each year in response to the nearly 400 positions they have available. In order to alleviate the strain on their HR department and streamline their recruitment process, they have implemented a bilingual
e-recruitment solution on their website that will automatically publish available positions on preferred job boards. The e-recruitment solution, provided by StepStone Solutions, also allows them to conduct statistical analysis and generate reports including recruitment time and hiring sources together with profiles of candidates, trainees and recruits. The bank believes this will enhance their recruitment and hiring process and improve communication for the diverse jobs that they require particularly for specialist roles in the areas of financial stability, economic research and IT. The system also helps enrich their brand and candidate application experience which helps attract higher calibre candidates.
The e-recruitment solution has helped reduce the average hiring cycle from six to three months, with priority given to the management of online applications. The bank has actively promoted employment access for people with special needs as an enterprise policy and they plan to recruit 50 workers with disabilities before the end of 2011. Special features will be added to the recruitment system to make it more easily accessible for people with disabilities.
