Based in Shanghai and reporting to Kenneth Chu, Partner and CEO, and Betty Lo, President of Ketchum Greater China, Wong will be responsible for the development and implementation of training programs for the region. This will include creating a Greater China Learning Network, developing localised approaches to the Group's global learning programmes, supporting talent programmes. These inlcude Ketchum University and Camp Ketchum, integrating training opportunities offered by Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services Group and seeking cooperation opportunities with the region’s top universities and trade associations. Wong will also work closely with the Group's Chief Learning Officer David Burnside.
This new position has been purposefully created to drive training as a business priority for Ketchum Greater China in 2011, which it hopes will not only boost creative output, but also attract new talent into the company.
“A focused approach to training brings so many benefits to the network: it builds business; it develops and attracts talent and brings the global network closer together by giving trainers greater exposure to our region,” said Chu. “With so many benefits, it is important that the program is both successful and sustainable. That requires dedicated oversight which is why we have created this position.”

Over the past three years he has also taken an active role in talent development in the industry. In 2008, Wong was one of the first practitioners in China to become an Accredited Business Communicator by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). In 2010 he was appointed by the Shanghai PR Association (SPRA) as Deputy Chairman of the SPRA-IABC Training Center where he is a designated co-trainer for the Accreditation Programme.
