Companies awarded for excellence

For the 34^th consecutive year, the British Safety Council presented the Sword of Honour in London on 29 November. It also presented the Globe of Honour, an award in its fourth year given in recognition of environmental management excellence, to eight British Safety Council member organisations. The Sword of Honour, recognising health and safety management, was presented to 68 companies and organisations from around the globe. Seven organisations won both the Sword and the Globe of Honour. Winning companies and organisations came from a wide range of sectors across the globe, including construction, education, finance, manufacturing, retail and energy generation.
