Citrix has been named world's 16th most valuable enterprise IT company, according to a ranking released on 9 August by business news portal Business Insider. The news comes two weeks after the company was ranked 19th in the 'Top 25 Companies for Work-Life Balance' run by glassdoor, an annual index compiled based on anonymous employee reports on their employers. This year, 385,000 reports were submitted to glassdoor.
Victor Tsao, general manager, Greater China, Citrix stated, “Happy employees with a good work-life balance achieve more at work, driving their companies' success. In common with an increasing number of other employers, we recognise that our employees also have priorities unrelated to work, such as parenting responsibilities. Given the right tools, they can be just as productive when they're not at work as when they are, so why shouldn't we support them in that—particularly when flexible working also benefits us as an employer? During typhoon Vicente in Hong Kong last month, staff stayed safe at home, with no loss of productivity or business continuity. So we've found that flexible working really benefits everyone, and our employees appreciate the extra freedom too."
