With an increasingly competitive labour market and severe skills shortage gripping Australia, many companies are struggling to find ways to differentiate themselves to recruit and retain talent. In light of these pressures, HR IQ is holding the 3rd Remuneration and Reward event to bring together high level professionals and industry experts to discuss remuneration strategies in recruiting, retaining and engaging talent. The event features speakers from Fosters Group, IAG and Johnson & Johnson and gives Heads of Remuneration and Rewards across a range of industries an opportunity to examine innovative ways to improve remuneration strategies. The event will also focus on how to develop and build a capable and resilient talent pool in order to maximise the economy’s growth.
“The need to differentiate your company beyond salaries has never been more important. Companies need to create high impact reward programs aligned with the business strategy aimed at improving company performance and retaining key talent,” said John Stevens, General Manager, Remuneration and Benefits at Aristocrat.
The HON David Bradbury MP, Australian Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury will be delivering an opening ministerial keynote address that will examine the new legislation and its implications on executive remuneration. Australian Remuneration and Reward professionals have recently had to navigate the regulatory minefield of executive remuneration—particularly with changes such as the government’s Corporations Amendment (Improving Accountability on Director and Executive Remuneration) Bill 2011 which will roll out in July 2011.
The event will be held in Melbourne on 18-19 October. For more information visit: www.remunerationandreward.com.au
