On 11 June, Aon employees across 40 countries, including 13 in Asia, took part in its annual Global Services Day to celebrate “Its commitment to empowering economic and human possibility”, according to company sources. The company-wide initiative gets staff to dedicate over 31,000 hours in total to support over 250 charities in order to help make their communities a better place. They engaged in activities such as fundraising for underprivileged children, tree planting, conducting health care and food safety workshops for the public, and more. Such benefactors in Asia included the Cherished Dream Charitable Foundation in Shanghai, Chiyoda Volunteer Centre in Japan, Bright Hull Evergreen House and HCA Hospice in Singapore, and YWCA in Hong Kong.
