In recognition of the outstanding anti-pandemic efforts of its property and facility management teams, Savills Services Group has established the Savills Anti-pandemic Awards offering cash prizes totalling HK$2 million. The Group also safeguards the health and safety of its workforce by investing over HK$10 million in an employee wellness programme and actively adopting new property technologies, providing staff with full support in fighting against COVID-19 with the community.
The Savills Anti-pandemic Awards ceremony was recently held at the Group’s headquarters where around 20 of its best property and facility management teams with excellent performance during the fifth wave of the COVID-19 outbreak received cash prizes ranging from HK$60,000 to HK$200,000. The winning teams manage diverse types of properties from Grade A offices and residential developments to hotels and government properties and facilities.
Raymond Lee, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China of Savills said, “We strongly believe that our colleagues are our most valuable assets. At the early stage of the pandemic, the Group had already formed a cross-departmental Infection Control Task Force and Crisis Management Team to formulate timely anti-pandemic measures. Everyone at Savills Hong Kong has remained steadfast in their duties, fearlessly overcoming challenges and serving customers with outstanding professionalism. With the Savills Anti-pandemic Awards, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and reward staff members for their extraordinary work and exemplary services on the frontline.”
Dr Johnnie Chan, SBS, BBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Savills Services Group mentioned, “Our teams have been actively supporting the government’s anti-pandemic policies and relentlessly fighting the virus together with clients in collaboration with the relevant government departments and the community. Our frontline staff responded professionally whenever compulsory testing notices were issued or confirmed Covid cases were found at properties, and despite manpower shortage at the peak of the pandemic, our colleagues were not afraid to take on additional tasks to protect the health of fellow citizens and curb the spread of the virus.”
With employees’ wellbeing being a top priority, the Group adopted various measures to ensure a safe working environment, including but not limited to sourcing adequate protective equipment and RAT kits, and arranging instant fogging disinfection at properties. Through implementing the Savills Wellness Programme with an initial investment of over HK$10 million, the Group sponsors employees’ medical checkups, vaccination, dental care, fitness and yoga courses, etc., promoting physical wellbeing and a positive mindset to tackle challenges brought by the pandemic.
The Group also adopts advanced property technologies to reduce unnecessary contact and protect the health and safety of frontline staff and property and facility users. Robotic hygiene solutions are deployed offering smart disinfection, sanitation and delivery services while thermal imaging cameras and the related supplies are installed for body temperature measurement and in situ disinfection. Through the above measures, the Group seeks to support its workforce in fighting the virus together with the community.
