28 millennials in the Tech sector are already billionaires, according to the latest data from the Forbes World’s Billionaires list. Becoming a billionaire is no easy feat, which is why only a limited number of people in the world reach billionaire status. Over 5% of those millennial billionaires live in Hong Kong. From those that do, not much is made about millennial billionaires, given their extraordinary ability to accumulate such a huge amount of wealth at a relatively young age. Interested in personal wealth, Physical Gold commissioned the data to establish which industries in the world have the most millennial billionaires (aged 23 – 38 years old).

Overall, there are currently 78 millennial billionaires in the world with a collective net worth (CNW) of UDS418.6 billion. The technology sector has by far the most millennial billionaires, and the combined net worth (CNW) of the 28 tech millennial billionaires in this sector equates to an astonishing USD254.5 billion. The finance and investment industry has the next most millennial billionaires, with eight having a CNW of USD24.6 billion. The automotive, fashion and retail, healthcare and media and entertainment industries have six millennial billionaires each. Interestingly, the construction and engineering, gambling and casinos, logistics, sports and telecommunications industries have no millennial billionaires.
