Mukta Arya is appointed as Head of Human Resources, Asia Pacific, Societe Generale, with effect from 1 September. She will be based in Hong Kong. She has worked in different roles across a number of Asia Pacific locations at Societe Generale and other companies, and has built a solid profile in the Human Resources function, which will be essential to support Societe Generale’s business operations and the promotion of the Bank’s strong company culture in Asia Pacific.
Mukta started her career in 1997 as an HR Management Trainee in Essar Group in India. She later worked as an HR Generalist in Tata TD Waterhouse Asset Management, Tata TD Waterhouse Securities Limited and Ogilvy and Mather (advertising) in Mumbai. In 2006, she joined the Corporate & Investment Banking and Private Banking arms of Societe Generale in Mumbai as Head of HR, before moving to Hong Kong in 2010 as Regional Head of People and Talent Development. In 2016, she moved to Singapore to lead HR for Southeast Asia while maintaining her regional role in Talent Development & Inclusion.
Mukta is a Global Fellow in Talent Management by Wharton University and a Global Talent Management Leader with certification in MBTI, FIRO B, Experiential Learning, and Leadership Development, and a Certified Coach (ACC) accredited by International Coaching Federation. She graduated with an MBA from Mumbai University in Personnel Management in Industrial Relations.
