Dr. Tim Carey, Ph.D. degree in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, is the Managing Director at atrain responsible for the design and delivery of integrated development and training concepts, development centers, and numerous training programs for senior executives from multinational corporations. Dr. Carey has more than 20 years of experience in training, coaching and consulting in North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, with an emphasis on Hong Kong and China. His specialties include personnel assessment and development centers, coaching and training around leadership and selection. He has worked with both multinational corporations and small and medium enterprises taking on both leadership and operational roles.
Apart from his consulting practice, Dr. Carey has taught at the graduate and undergraduate level in universities and has published articles in the realm of clinical stress and industrial organizational psychology. He is currently a lecturer in the Psychology Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Through practical business experience, built upon a strong foundation of training in psychology in both applied and research settings, Dr. Carey has developed a unique perspective into how organizations work and how people behave differently as a function of environmental factors.
