Stuart's career began with 12 years service in the RAF. His expertise spans the entire employee life cycle, with significant experience in the areas of talent management, assessment and selection, performance management, leadership development and training. Prior to joining SHL, Stuart headed up Learning & Organisational Development (EMEA) for a global Japanese manufacturer introducing a global business school for all HRD activity. He has led L&D teams looking after both technical & sales and marketing in the telecoms industry. In addition, he led the HR team at their manufacturing base in Glasgow. Stuart was a key member of the SHL UK management team, from where he was promoted to lead Professional Services for SHL Americas (Canada, North & South America), to conduct a strategic review of the Americas operation. Stuart has identified, developed and implemented strategic solutions in the areas of Organisational Change (including competency framework design), Culture Change, Leadership Development and Talent Management programs, processes and tools in the companies he has worked for. He has a wealth of experience in working with senior stakeholders in facilitating workshops on strategy development through to 1:1 coaching. Stuart has worked with organizations in both public and private sector such as Aegon, IB, Kelloggs and Coke in a variety of client engagements specifically regarding facilitating focus group discussions with regard to change.
