With a background in technical project management spanning 15 years and multiple industries, Emily was no stranger to delivering complex projects when an opportunity arose for her to apply her trouble-shooting skills to the world of HR. In 2011, she joined Li & Fung’s HR department, tasked with taking an outsider’s look at the systems and processes used by the global supply chain manager’s network of 40 offices worldwide. Following her initial assessment, she led the transformation of HR systems by implementing Cornerstone as a talent management solution, creating a system for salary and bonus review, and, with replacement a consideration, reviewing the core HR functionality together with future needs. Her ability to finely balance technical know-how with organisational efficiency proves beneficial as she continues to provide insight into further opportunities for improvements and transformation across the company’s global HR systems.
