Head of Learning and Development
Ben Shao has been involved in corporate learning and development work for more than 15 years. He specialises in designing and delivering various learning and development programmes and initiatives for professionals range from associate job grade to senior executives. In addition to learning and development work, Ben's expertise in key talent management allows him to work closely with many executives and offer them tailored developmental solutions that transform individuals into well-rounded professionals and successful leaders.
Since joining Wallem Group as the Head of Learning and Development, Ben has transformed its learning culture and people development strategies by establishing Wallem Academy and implementing the group’s first learning management system. As a result, in financial year 2014/2015 some 800 Wallem shore-based staff completed more than 390 training sessions, clocking up over 14,300 training hours.
Prior to joining Wallem Group, Ben was a senior manager at PwC for a number of years.
