Research has revealed an increasing awareness of professional coaching across Asia.
In China both awareness of and participation in coaching exceeded the global average, with 38.9% of respondents participating in a coaching relationship. Between 2010 and 2014, awareness of coaching in India increased by more than 8%, whilst in Japan, participation in coaching increased by two percentage points to exceed the global average to 38.3 percent versus 31.1 percent in 2010.
The 2014 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study was designed to ascertain consumer awareness of the coaching profession. As HR professionals this shows the importance of improving coaching awareness.
"As ICF Membership grows across Asia, more consumers are learning about professional coaching and experiencing its benefits first-hand," said 2014 ICF Global Chair and Master Certified Coach Damian Goldvarg, Ph.D.
