May saw the appointment of Sangeet Chowfla as president of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), he succeeds David A. Wilson, president and CEO for the global non-profit council for 18 years. As of 1 January 2013, Chowfla will assume the role of CEO.
Chowfla brings with him extensive experience in the fields of technology, telecommunication and venture capital. His career has seen him work in New Delhi, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and the US.
