The English Schools Foundation (ESF) has appointed a new chief executive officer from Britain. On 1 September 2013 Belinda Greer will take over from Heather Du Quesnay, who will retire this summer after spending eight years with the organisation.
Greer brings to the role over 30 years’ experience in education, including 12 years as a school principal, 6 years as one of Her Majesty's Inspectors of Education in Scotland, and the last several years as the first Director of Joint Education Services for Stirling and Clackmannanshire Councils in Scotland. She has both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education and spent the first five years of her career teaching in the Middle East.
Commenting on the appointment Carlson Tong, Chairman of the ESF Board of Governors said, "Her experience, knowledge and leadership qualities are well known and highly regarded. I am confident that Belinda will provide strong leadership for ESF into the future."
