Jim Crowe is the Managing Partner of Alexander Hughes based in Hong Kong. He is a leading consultant in the asset management, real estate and industrial/automotive industries in Asia Pacific. He has undertaken numerous regional and global consulting assignments for European, Australian and American investment, real estate and global industrial institutions.
Jim works closely with the boards of directors and senior management in learning and development, talent acquisition and executive coaching. Jim has carried out senior international assignments across the Asia Pacific region, North America and Australia.
Prior to joining Alexander Hughes Asia Jim was managing director Hong Kong for an Asian leading regional consulting firm. Prior to this role, Jim worked in Australia as the co-founding partner of a boutique consultancy. Jim moved to Sydney, Australia in 1980, as a senior manager with a medium-sized firm, involved in learning, development and organizational development.
He began his career in Canada, with a major business advisory consultancy, where he played a role with international firms in primary production, venture capital, automobile manufacturing, finance and insurance.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Jim's involvement in Asia began when he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 1970 he worked and travelled widely in southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Japan. Returning to Canada, Jim completed an MBA at Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada in 1974. Jim began learning the Mandarin language in high school in Vancouver, a study he continues today.
