General Manager—Global Talent Management
Charles Hughley is the General Manager of Global Talent Management for the Johnson Electric Group, headquartered in Hong Kong. Mr. Hughley is responsible for all aspects of Global Talent Management and Talent Development for the organization.
Prior to moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Hughley was based in the US as the General Manger of Human Resources for the Americas. Mr. Hughley is a tireless business and human resource professional who brings with him over twenty years of public and private sector experience in human resources, strategic planning, continuous improvement, and workforce analytics. Over the course of his career, he has led large domestic and international organizational redesigns, labor negotiations in the US, Brazil, and Mexico, as well led significant M&A due diligence projects in Europe and the Americas. Prior to joining Johnson Electric, Mr. Hughley held a number of leadership roles with Fortune 500 companies including ITT Corporation, Eaton Corporation, and the Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Hughley has been an adjunct professor for numerous colleges and universities across the United States including Syracuse University in New York, Wright State University in Ohio and Oakland University in Michigan. Mr. Hughley is also a contributing author to the book the “Handbook of Human Resources Management”, published by Springer International.
Mr. Hughley holds a B.S. in Organizational Communications from Eastern Michigan University, a Master’s of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University with a focus on Information Resource Management, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Michigan. He is also a Lean 6 Sigma Black belt and holds a number of certifications from Korn Ferry International, Hogan Assessment Systems, and CEB. In addition to his professional career, Mr. Hughley is married and has three children.
