Recognising that females are significantly under-represented in Hong Kong’s ICT sector in terms of studies and career options, Hong Kong Computer Society’s (HKCS) FACE Club launches the industry’s first ever “Outstanding ICT Women Awards” tomorrow. The event is being held to honour the achievements of female ICT leaders, and to celebrate the innovation and contribution from young females to the sector.
The awards will be presented in 2 categories: “Outstanding ICT Woman Professional” Category, for female professionals and practitioners, and “Outstanding ICT Super Girl” Category, for female secondary and tertiary students. Selection criteria and evaluation procedures will be announced at the press conference which will be hosted by Mrs. Agnes Mak, MH, JP, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of Outstanding ICT Women Awards 2015 cum Executive Director of Hong Kong Productivity Council and Mr. Michael Leung, President of HKCS cum Chief Information & Operations Officer, China CITIC Bank International Ltd.
